Terms and Conditions of Service

Welcome to RPL Locust Chimney & Dryer Vent Services. By accessing our website, scheduling a service appointment, or hiring our technicians for chimney maintenance, masonry work, or dryer vent cleaning, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Acceptance & Agreement

These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between the customer (property owner or authorized representative) and RPL Locust Chimney & Dryer Vent Services. If you do not agree to these terms, please refrain from using our services or scheduling work.

2. Scope of Services Provided

RPL Locust Chimney & Dryer Vent Services provides residential fireplace and ventilation maintenance services, including:

• Residential chimney sweeping, creosote removal, and flue cleaning.
• Chimney safety inspections, cap installations, and damper repairs.
• Masonry tuckpointing, joint repairs, crown sealing, and liner installations.
• Clothes dryer exhaust duct lint clearing, screen cleaning, and vent repair.

3. Service Estimates & On-Site Inspection

Preliminary pricing provided over the phone or online is an initial estimate based on customer descriptions. Because hidden flue deterioration, creosote glaze severity, or inaccessible duct blockage cannot be fully identified prior to physical examination, final scope of work and firm pricing are confirmed after our technicians complete an on-site evaluation.

4. Property Access & Work Area Preparation

To enable our technicians to perform safe and clean service, customers are required to:

• Clear a 6-foot radius around the fireplace hearth, wood stove, or dryer duct area prior to technician arrival.
• Move fragile valuables, breakables, and personal belongings away from the work zone.
• Provide safe and unhindered access to the chimney, hearth, electrical outlets, and dryer connection points.
• Ensure pets are secured in a separate room during the entire service visit.

5. Scheduling & Cancellations

Service visits are scheduled within specified arrival time windows. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we request at least 24 hours advance notice by calling our direct customer line at (516) 507-3507.

6. Workmanship Standards & Pre-Existing Defect Disclaimer

All services are performed following standard industry practices for chimney safety and duct cleaning. However, RPL Locust Chimney & Dryer Vent Services is not liable for pre-existing structural defects, such as:

• Cracked or spalling interior clay flue tiles installed prior to our visit.
• Severe masonry mortar deterioration caused by long-term moisture infiltration.
• Plastic or non-code-compliant flexible foil dryer ducting previously installed behind walls.
• Unvented or improperly constructed hearth structures built prior to our service.

7. Payment Terms

Payment for completed service work is due upon completion of the service visit unless prior written invoicing arrangements have been established. We accept standard payment methods as communicated by our dispatch team.

8. Intellectual Property & Site Usage

All content, logos, graphics, text, and design elements published on our website are the exclusive property of RPL Locust Chimney & Dryer Vent Services. Reproduction or redistribution of site content without prior written permission is prohibited.

9. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal proceedings arising from service agreements shall be resolved in the local courts of Nassau County, NY.
